Windows of Downtown Ensley Art Exhibition

Art + Ensley = FUN

Like art? Like historic downtown restoration even more?

REV will unveil Windows of Downtown Ensley, a rotating art exhibition, on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 3p.m. to 5p.m. in conjunction with Bethesda Life Center’s Art on the Block!

The highly-anticipated window project is just one example of our continued strategy to add vibrancy and reduce blight in Birmingham Neighborhood Commercial Centers. Windows of Downtown Ensley is a community art program that will enhance the aesthetic appeal of 19th Street Ensley by filling vacant and participating area merchant windows with original artwork from Birmingham and surrounding area creatives.

Here are a couple of artists whose work you can look forward to seeing this month:
Apryl Beason – WODE, Photography
Brannon Neal -- WODE, Painter
Franchesca Taylor – Art on the Block/WODE Feature Artist and Painter
Kuumba Community Art – WODE, Photography

Art on the Block -- which serves as the official launch of the community window project -- will feature local painter and WODE feature artist Franchesca Taylor. (She'll be discussing her oil canvass collection “Avadora June”).
