Storehouse Vision and Mission Statement:

  • We envision a community of people advancing a holistic pursuit of excellence and self-empowerment through a word-based approach, which leads to the transformation and revitalization of communities.
  • The mission of the Storehouse is to empower individuals through the design and implementation of health, economic, education, and social centers of excellence.

Our goal is to meet the physical needs of those we serve by providing nutritional food and adequate clothing while giving a message of hope and love.

Purpose:

  • To provide groceries to the elderly, disabled, and those otherwise in dire need.
  • To assist those in emergency situations with food. 
  • To provide IMPACT In-Services that offers participants with information for social advancement, benefits and life-skills. 
  • To show God’s love to Christians and the non-Christians, directing the non-churched to salvation and connection with a local church.

Food Distribution Dates:


Every 3rd Saturday from 10a – 12p at the Faith Chapel Zeal building, 800 Quebec Drive, Birmingham, AL 35224.
The 2012 dates are as follows:

  • January 21st
  • Feb 18th
  • March 17th
  • April 21st
  • May 19th
  • June 16th
  • July 21st
  • August 18th
  • September 15th
  • October 20th
  • November 17th
  • December 15th

What to Expect:

If this is your first time to receive groceries, we will ask you to fill out a brief application when you arrive. All you will need to bring with you is your I.D. You will receive free groceries and 20-30 minute inspirational nugget (if you’re interested).

Criteria:
You must be 60 years old or older and participate in one of the following programs:
1)Eligibility to receive Food Stamps, or

2)Eligibility to receive Aid for Families with Dependent Children (AFDC), or

3)Eligibility to receive Supplement Security Income (SSI), or

4)Signed, self declaration stating that the household income falls below 130% of the poverty level income (as stated on the application).
