What do we believe?

OUR MISSION
The Student Ministry of Faith Chapel Christian Center is a ministry catered to the teen demographic, operated and run by them, under supervision and mentorship of adults. Teens use their gifts and talents to bring glory to the Father God and Lord Jesus Christ.
Worship-teens’ lives are a worship to God through having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ which “Removes the Reproach" from the lives of young people. We are removing living apart from an intimate relationship with God, low self-esteem, sexual promiscuity, rejection, peer pressure, anger, fear, poor parent/teen relationships, lawlessness, depression, hopelessness, and more.
Word-Teens will learn and apply the Word of God to their lives in order to honor God in word and deed which helps them “be” the Word made flesh.
Witness-Teens “be” effective witnesses verbally and physically, causing transformation in the world around them. Their lives are a platform being vessels of honor ALWAYS AVAILABLE for the Lord's use inside and outside the church walls.
OUR VISION
Student Ministry is a place for teens and young adults, run by teens and young adults, under adult mentorship.
The atmosphere caters to youth 7th grade and up - music, praise and worship and ministry of the Word. It’s a place where young people serve in the ministry as greeters, ushers, teachers, praise and worship leaders, and more. Our adult workers are vital in modeling, teaching, and training them to live and serve God now, not later.
OUR GOAL - We are taking students from where they are to where God wants them to be through the JUST BE lifestyle which "Removes the Reproach" according to Nehemiah 2:17.
HOW DO WE HELP STUDENTS TO "JUST BE"?
WORSHIP-their lives being one of worship to God-their character, actions, appearance, and speech-a life dedicated to God.
WORD-the word is the authority- teach the word on their level, give them tools to use it: confessions, books, bible reading plans, word is for them-hearing it, believing it, getting it down into their hearts and speaking it.-applying it to their everyday lives for their situations. Do take home tasks to reinforce what is being taught; have a mentor to check on them to make sure they have some way to stay accountable
WITNESS-by letting their lives be a worship to God, by using the Word, they can now “be” a witness to others with their lifestyle-the just be lifestyle…provide opportunities for community service, fulfilling leadership functions in the ministry, and being a witness and example among their peers and adults…
HOW DO TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS
GET A LIFE DEDICATED TO GOD?
Through character development and learning how to worship God.
- CHARACTER-accountability-holding them accountable for behaviors, words, thoughts, reading the bible, doing the bible, relationships they engage in that are ungodly, confrontation, teaching the word, praying for them, showing them how to deal with situations, listening to them, modeling the proper responses to situations for them;
- TEACHING THEM HOW TO WORSHIP-creating an atmosphere for God to come in by singing to Him in English and the Spirit; coaching them in lifting their hands, singing unto the Father out of their hearts, worshipping the Father in Spirit and in Truth.
