  1. What is the difference between e-learning and virtual classes?
    Virtual classes are instructor lead courses offered in the Spring and Fall. E-learning classes are self-paced modules that you can take online according to your personal schedule.

  2. I have taken the SG101 class onsite (previously Compass). Can I take SG201 online?
    Yes. You do have the option of taking SG201 online or onsite at Faith Chapel Birmingham.

  3. Is there a teacher for the SG online courses?
    Spiritual Growth online courses are self-paced. There is no physical teacher, however, the content has been organized into easily manageable components that are designed to guide learners through the content step-by-step.

  4. What will I receive after taking these courses?
    After successful completion of each course, students will receive a certificate of completion and will have a deeper working knowledge of God’s Word.

  5. How much time will the online course take?
    SG classes consist of two courses: SG101 and SG201. There are eleven (11) modules in SG101 and five (5) modules in SG201. We estimate that each module should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

  6. Can I complete all modules at one time, in one session?
    Each new module is available upon completion of the previous module. Because it takes time to build a revelation of God’s Word in your spirit, we recommend that you set aside time to study and meditate on what you have learned.

  7. What if I don’t finish within the time allocated?
    While we do understand that life happens, we encourage you to complete each course as soon as you can. You have 60 days to complete your course before your status will be considered inactive.

  8. I am enrolled in a SG course onsite at Faith Chapel Birmingham. If I miss a week, can I take that week’s class online? If I am enrolled in a SG course online, can I attend a SG course onsite?
    All SG onsite and online courses are completely separate. Because of how the courses are designed, students are not able to switch between offerings.

  9. How do I access the SG online course?
    Once registration opens, you can register for SG101 or SG201 at: www.faithchapelelearning.net.

  10. Who do I contact if I have questions or need clarification during the course?
    If you have questions, need prayer, or other requests during the course, an email address will be provided within the course and someone will contact you within 24-48 hours.

  11. What if I register for the online course but change my mind and prefer the onsite course?
    You may stop or discontinue a course at any time, and wait to register for the onsite course during its upcoming registration period.  However, once enrolled in a SG online course, you will have full access to all of the course material for the duration of the course. Each course will have a different term limit.  For example, SG 101 has a 60 day term. After a course term expires, your account will become inactive and the course content will switch to a read-only format. If in the future, you decide you would like to take a course online, you can simply re-enroll using your same username and password. 

  12. What technical equipment do I need to complete the course?
    SG classes require internet access and are accessible via laptop, smart phone, or tablet devices.

  13. Is there a fee for the course?
    All SG classes are FREE and available to members and individuals seeking to grow in their understanding of God’s Word.

  14. Are the courses for Faith Chapel members only?
    SG courses are available to members and non-members of Faith Chapel.

  15. If I have taken SG101 and SG201 onsite, can I take SG101 and SG201 online?
    Yes.
