The Recruitment Response Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for responding
to inquiring potential families who are interested in adoption. This position is a 25-hour a week position.

position. Depending on assigned area of responsibility, incumbents in the position may perform some or all of the activities described below.
• Respond to families and social workers who inquire about a waiting child on the Heart Gallery
website and via phone.
• Assist in scheduling recruitment photo shoots of waiting children.
• Communicate with caseworkers to keep children’s status records up to date in the database.
• Represent Heart Gallery Alabama on Panel nights for families who are completing TIPS classes.
• Assist at photo shoots as needed.
• Assist with the development and implementation of a family mentor program.
• Help with portrait inventory organization and mailing of portraits as needed.
• Attend required meetings and in-service trainings
• Performs other related work as required.
• Work flexible hours as needed, with some in state travel.
• Maintains a level of confidentiality as pertains to HGA clients and organizations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to learn about the Adoption Community and Process to adopt from foster care.
• Ability to communicate with community agencies, photographers, media and other vendors
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, SDHR workers and
A Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a similar Human Services Degree from an accredited
University. Masters Preferred.
APPOINTING AUTHORITY REQUIRES:
Possession of a valid Driver License. Child Abuse/Neglect Registry clearance on file updated every two years. Three references.
